This training is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to prepare them for community-based assignments and work responsibilities. This training is led by our certified specialists.
Team Member(s) provide parent coaching based on the B.A.S.S. principles (Build, Assess, Strategies, Strengthen) on an as-needed basis to assist the parent(s)/legal guardians and works to facilitate interaction between family members and other natural supports. Supportive Supervised/Facilitated Visitation is also helpful for assessment of parenting skills and assists in developing the parent(s)/legal guardians. This service may provide an adjunct or a step-down to reunification. Supportive Supervised/Facilitated Visitation can also provide assurance for appropriate and safe interaction pending the outcome of a DSS investigation or court-ordered evaluation. Supportive Supervised/Facilitated Visitation services are for parent(s)/legal guardian and their children who are experiencing challenges in their relationship due to high-conflict divorce dynamics, parental substance abuse struggles, who are participating in co-parenting counseling or concerns about abuse or neglect. This service also is available to monitor phone and video calls.

All Team Members hold necessary degrees in counseling, social work or a related field (or are currently in a graduate program in such a field) or extensive experience in the working field and have experience supporting the parent-child relationship. In addition, they receive training and supervision in high-conflict divorce, Handle With Care, and other related topics.
